WELCOME TO
NEWSHAM PARK PHARMACY

OPENING HOURS

9:00am to 5:00pm weekdays – excluding public holidays.

At Newsham Park Pharmacy our pharmacists are committed to providing quality healthcare to our community. They work alongside the GPs and Nurses at Newsham Park Medical to ensure your health needs are being met.

Pharmacists ensure that prescriptions are dispensed correctly and that the medicine and dose is appropriate for you, so that you receive the maximum benefits from your medicines. Your pharmacist will help you understand what your medicines are for, how to take them, possible side effects and how to store them.

For safe disposal, please return any expired or unwanted medicines, or needles/lancets and syringes to your pharmacy. There is no charge for this service.

We look forward to caring for you and your family.

Hi, my name is Beheshta, which is Persian for “Heaven”, however many people call me Bee.

I completed my Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy degree at the University of Auckland nearly ten years ago and have been working as a clinical pharmacist in West Auckland since.

A key passion of mine is helping people, as cliché as that may sound, I really care about empowering patients around their health, understanding their medicines, undertaking medicine reviews alongside doctors and working together as a team to get patients to a stable health status and at a level they are satisfied with.

My husband works as an aircraft engineer at Air New Zealand, and we have two young children; Eamon (5) and Aysha (3). My little ones keep me very busy which I love and no doubt you will see them in the pharmacy with me from time to time helping me. Other than healthcare, I enjoy a good coffee, baking treats and enjoying the beautiful surroundings we are blessed with in New Zealand.

My family are loving our new adventure in Pukekohe. Please feel free to say hello if you see me out and about!

Rachel

Hi, my name is Rachel. I have been a pharmacist for almost 20 years, in a wide variety of settings, including hospital and community.

I have a holistic view of health care. Our relationships, stress levels, access to nutrition, and physical fitness, all play major roles in our overall health. Spiritual and emotional wellbeing also have a deep impact.

Prescription and complementary medicines and supplements may support you during times of acute sickness and sometimes have a role to play for chronic illness. I am happy to discuss your health goals and explore if or how medications may benefit you.

Outside of work, I enjoy exercise, playing chess with my children, reading the weekend newspaper and listening to podcasts.
